In the soiled corner of a Parisian dream
stands Albert Giacometti’s
emaciated man, starving
on flour flamingo legs
wrapped in water cloth, waiting
for Borgonovo thumbs to shape into place
the eyes, the nose, the lips
of his elongated face, the bald bust
of his mannequin mind.
