Biography

Art Elser retired after 20 years as an Air Force pilot. During that time, he flew combat at a forward air controller in Vietnam in 1967-68 and retired in 1979. He worked 30 years as a technical writer for various computer, software, and communications firms. He has a PhD in English and was a professor of English at the USAF Academy, and an adjunct professor at Chapman University, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and Denver, Phoenix University, American University, and New Mexico Tech. Art's poetry books include, As the Crow Flies, To See a World in a Grain of Sand, It Seemed Innocent Enough, A High Plains Year in Haiku, and It Begins in Silence, Ends in Grace.
