Biography

David Feela, a retired teacher, is a poet free-lance writer and columnist. His writing has appeared in hundreds of regional and national publications since 1974, including High Country News, Mountain Gazette, Denver Post, Utne Reader, Yankee, Third Wednesday, and Pennsylvania Review, as well as in over a dozen anthologies. Currently, he contributes monthly to the Four Corners Free Press and the Durango Telegraph. A chapbook, Thought Experiments (Maverick Press), won the Southwest Poet Series. A full length poetry collection, The Home Atlas (WordTech Editions) appeared in 2009. His collection of essays, How Delicate These Arches, was chosen as a finalist for the Colorado Book Award in the category of creative non-fiction. Unsolicited Press will release a new volume of poem, Little Acres, in April, 2019.
