Biography

Discovering the self through poetry my seeking to know that “something greater than me”, what we call God, has evolved through lifes’ pains and joys for over 50 years. The challenges along the way are the human experience we all are engaged in to unveil our individual journeys to the Divine. The dynamic flow of life is the path to hearing the still small voice. Within that we come to experience Grace, Love and Beauty. So, I write about the anxieties, the past, the now, the future, the hopes, the yearning for God, and for an open heart

Originally from New York, I have lived in Boulder County for the last 34 years. I write through the lens of Kabbalah, Judaism, prayer, worship, meditation and other spiritual studies. So I write about this journey, the anxieties, the past, the now, the future,the hope,the yearning for God, for an open heart, for love, beauty and grace.

When I started sharing my poetry about 5 years ago (2020) friends wanted another way to read my work instead of a word doc-email. Last year with help from a web designer I created my website a place where much of what I write can be seen;

Spiritually inspired Jewish poetry & reflections
My work can also be seen in the Boulder Jewish News as well as Ritualwell.org. I post on my Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/Toddeg as well as through Substack, @hinenihineni.

Through one of the local Synagogues I participate in a monthly shared poetry and discussion group where I read a few of my poems. I periodically lead a Torah Study group using poetry as a vehicle to discuss that week’s Torah portion.
