Biography
Tony Moffeit is director of the Pueblo Poetry Project in Pueblo, Colorado. He was the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts creative writing fellowship in 1992. Also, in 1992, he was the recipient of a CoVisions grant from the Colorado Council on the Arts to give a performance program called "Poetry, Culture, and the Individual." In 1986, he was the recipient of the Jack Kerouac Award for his volume of poetry, Pueblo Blues, published by Cherry Valley Editions, Cherry Valley, New York. In 1997, he was the first place recipient of the Denver Press Club's first annual Thomas Hornsby Ferril Poetry Prize. Both a literary and performance artist, Moffeit performs his original poetry and blues songs regularly with guitarist Rick Terlep. Rick Terlep is a guitarist from Pueblo, Colorado, who has a blues band called Little Ricky and the Roosters.
