Bio
Raised in New England, Claudia Putnam lived in Boulder County for 30 years before moving to Glenwood Springs. Her poetry and fiction appear in over two dozen literary journals; a chapbook, “Wild Thing in Our Known World,” is slated for publication in 2013 from Finishing Line Press. She had the 2011-2012 George Bennett fellowship at Phillips Exeter Academy, where she put together two chapbook manuscripts and revised a novel. She’s had a Ragdale Foundation residency and she taught in the University Writing Program for several years at CU-Boulder. Other ways of earning a living have included marketing and social media for major software companies, directing communications for an environmental non-profit, PR, and lots of freelance work.
