In Memoriam
Professor of Art History and formerly Dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts at the University of Northern Colorado, Dr. Svedlow was previously the Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Winthrop University, President of the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and Assistant Director of the Museum of the City of New York. Professor Svedlow has published his poetry in regional and national journals and has combined his work as a visual artist with his poetry in numerous projects and exhibitions. He was a 2007 Fulbright Scholar for the Japan-US International Education program and was a 2010 Fulbright Scholar to Ukraine. Dr. Svedlow has published a number of art history books and he works to connect audiences to the multi-disciplinary aspects of the history and contemporary issues in the visual arts and poetry.
