Biography
A native of Tennessee, Amie Sharp lives in Colorado Springs, where she is an assistant professor of English at Pikes Peak Community College. She was the featured poet for the July 2013 issue of Atticus Review and has been published or has poems forthcoming in Forge, the Bellevue Literary Review, the Pisgah Review, the 2River View, the New Formalist, the Penwood Review, and Aquarium by the Ocean, among others, as well as having a poem featured as KRCC’s Poem of the Day. She received an MA in English from the University of South Florida and an MFA in poetry from Seattle Pacific University. Recently she’s contributed to the Colorado Springs Poetry While You Wait initiative, conducted workshops for Poetry West, and been the featured reader for the Colorado Springs Writers Reading Series.
