Joy Roulier Sawyer holds an MA from New York University’s Gallatin Division, where she received the Herbert Rubin Award for Outstanding Creative Writing. Her most recent work appears in LIGHT Quarterly, Ruminate, St. Petersburg Review, The Heart’s Content, The Other Journal, and Volta: Evening Will Come. A former recipient of a Rocky Mountain Women’s Institute fellowship for her performance poetry, Joy was a runner-up in the 2011 St. Petersburg Review poetry contest.
